'Who couldn't contain their immense joy, dancing at the news of your imminent arrival into this world? ''Who enthusiastically counted the days and marked the calendars red till they could finally have you in their arms?'
They didn't know yet how you'd look, what your name would be, let alone what gender you'd be!
Despite being unseen to the naked eye and unknown to the world, you had already become everything and more to two special people: a hidden jewel in their hearts - your parents!
Yes, your parents were the ones who held you inside of themselves before they could in their arms.
The only ones whose happiness knew no bounds ever since the day they found out they're expecting you. From the moment of deciding your beautiful name, to the excitement of buying your very first clothes , spending days and nights envisioning whose traits would you inherit and carry within yourself, to ensuring they have everything needed to provide you with a beautiful life ahead. They planned it all before you made your entrance into their lives.
The moment you were born, your mother's loving hands cradled you for the very first time. Her face glowed as bright as the sun, radiating pure affection as she beheld her little bundle of joy. Tears streamed down her face as she embraced you close to her heart, your baby fingers delicately curled around hers. In that moment, she promised to shower you with all the love and care she could for the rest of her life.
With his strong hands, your father held you for the first time, excitement beaming across his whole face, his smile illuminating in his eyes. He, gently kissing your forehead , promising to provide you with the best that life has to offer.
Now, you were not just in their hearts, but in their arms - the moment they had been eagerly awaiting.
Your mother's hands cradled you in the darkest hours of the night, weary as a parent with a newborn, barely able to keep her knees together. Yet, she persisted in her dedication to soothe you into peaceful sleep, disregarding her own exhaustion.
Whenever you feel ill, her hands trembled with worry, beads of sweat forming on her brow as she gently touches your feverish forehead and comforts you with her gentle caresses to ease your discomfort, holding you close and not leaving your side even for the blink of an eye.
Despite the challenges of being a parent, she always made sure you were fed on time, never letting you go hungry, even if it meant putting her own tasks aside. And with a smile, she cleaned up after you, finding joy in simple acts of caring for you.
Encouraging you to take your first steps, your dad promised not to let you out of his sight, reassuring you with the look in his eyes. As your feet stumbled and wobbled with each little step, he securely held you back again.
His hands held you whenever you grew tired of walking on those little feet. They grasped your hand tightly while navigating through busy markets and streets, making sure you're not to be lost.
These hands were entrusted to hold you safe, to protect you, to love you endlessly, and to care for you wholeheartedly from the very first day throughout their lifetime. They were always by your side - cheering you in your victories, catching you in your defeats, and wiping away the tears from your cheeks. They were there to help you when things got tough, to calm your fears when life felt rough. They guided you along the right path throughout your life's journey, shaping you into the person you are today.

However, as you matured and grew stronger, these once robust hands began to weaken, their unwavering strength fading day by day as the creases of time marked deeper into their skin. Now, as age sets in, they call out for the strength of your hands, yearning for your care and love to navigate the challenges of ageing.
Envelop them in your warmth, tenderly cradle them in your grasp, for within the touch of your hands lies the power to ignite a spark of joy within their souls. Feed them love and tenderness, and witness how their smile illuminates the depths of your heart, filling it with an indescribable sense of peace and fulfilment.

Be there for them when they struggle to rise, supporting them with a hand placed gently behind their back. Know from the marks on their skin that remind you of once strong hands that laboured tirelessly for you, cradled you when you couldn't even walk on your own!
So hold onto them tightly, remember that no matter what you do or how much you strive to repay their endless favours upon you, you can never truly repay them in full for the boundless sacrifices they made, you'll always feel indebted.
Treasure these hands while they carry the warmth of life within, cherish their touch while you still can. Because, they deserve to be held by you more than anyone else.
Hold onto them before it's too late, and they can longer intertwine with yours. Hold their hands , because , they held you in their heart before you were even born.❤
