Before you delve into these words, I want you to take a moment and say 'Alhumdulillah (ูฑููุญูู ูุฏู ููููููฐูู), for it was Allah that granted you another opportunity, another day full of His blessings.
It's not you who stumbled upon this article, but rather by His divine guidance, it has found its way to you.
Have you ever wondered how many times you have woken up from a deep slumber, at the beeping sound of your alarm clock thinking, 'If I hadn't set this up, I would have never been able to rise up.'
However, I want you to pause for a while and ponder over this question:
'Was it truly the alarm that roused me from slumber or was it Allah's divine mercy granting me the gift of life, a new day, another chance to become a better person ?
The answer to this is quite simple and clear:
If you think that your alarm clock was the reason that you woke up this morning , try putting it beside a dead body. Does it wake up? No!
You will come to realise this profound fact that it can never be this seemingly essential object that you possess to wake you up from sleep but only by Allah's Grace and Mercy that your eyes open up to the light of dawn.
Among the billions of souls inhabiting this vast world, Allah chose yours to be reunited and returned back to its body in order that you may be granted this precious gift of life once more.
This Divine favour of Allah upon you not only gives you the opportunity to have your sins forgiven but also extends an invitation to strive for His pleasure through performing righteous actions throughout the day.
In Allah's boundless mercy for you , He sees in you the potential for growth ; the light within your soul waiting to illuminate itself through His Divine wisdom and guidance in the Quran.
One of the many majestic qualities of Allah define this attribute of His:
Being Al-Muhyi, He is the one who created life and decides what will be brought to life. He can bring anything and everything to existence, even that which appears dead to us.
Thus , every morning when sun's gentle rays awaken your senses afresh, you are among the fortunate ones whose souls are returned by Al-Muhyi after the slumber of death.
You are one of the blessed souls whom He granted all the spaces on the earth again to walk new paths and to grow more blissful gardens.
At the end of all this I want to conclude by quoting this beautiful, short Dua that we must recite after waking up:
With gratitude in our hearts, and a renewed sense of purpose let us begin each day with the remembrance and worship of Allah , striving to make the most of each day, seeking forgiveness for our shortcomings and constantly improving each day to reach our final destination: Jannah.โค
