If you're someone who over-thinks, this is for you.
Not everything needs an answer - just a prayer.

What happens when fear first knocks on the doors of our mind? At first, it may seem very tiny. A harmless thought.
The problem starts when we let that stay and feed it. We imagine the worst possible outcomes, play out every horrible scenario, and live them in our minds before they ever happen.
What can you expect it then to do to your body? To your level of fear and anxiety?
All these 'What ifs..' that build up inside of you trigger the body into 'flight-fight-mode' through the stress response which in return causes you to be in a state of uneasiness.
Overthinking is like refreshing your Gmail every other second.
It doesn't make the response come any early but you still keep checking in as anxiety builds up in you.
Sometimes all you need to do is hit the 'send' button and trust that the answer will come, in it's own destined time.
Just like the example above, there are things in life out of our control, such as the future or what would happen the next day or even the next coming hour. It's in these very moments, those moments of uncertainity we should turn to Allah in prayer and seek His assistance for He is the One who possesses the entire knowledge of the unseen.
Think about the example of Prophet Musa (AS) in the Quran after he was exiled from Eygpt, his very own home. He found himself alone in the vast, endless desert - where every direction looked the same, leaving him uncertain which way to turn in search of refuge.
He was unsure of what would happen next.
But what did he do?
It was then in his vulnerability and isolation that he uttered the prayer:
رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَقِيرٌۭ
"...My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."
This duaa is not just a call for help; it's an acknowledgement of need, a surrender to the will of Allah, with complete faith and trust that whatever good His Lord sends will be enough.
Do you see the power in this? The moment Musa (AS) admitted his utter reliance on Allah, he was given sustenance, companionship, and ultimately the direction he needed in his life.
Prophet Musa (AS)'s response to his situation was not to panic or endlessly worry, but to submit and seek support from the One who knows all unseen realities.
This is a timeless lesson for all of us that when life's unknowns weigh heavy and our minds race with "what ifs," the greatest strength we can find is in surrendering to Allah, the One who knows the unseen and holds every moment in His hands. The One who sees what we cannot foresee.
So instead of constantly refreshing your anxieties , take a moment to pause and make Dua to the One in control. Trust in Allah's timing and mercy. Know that just as He guided Musa (AS) through the desert, He will guide you through your trials.
And your heart would be at peace the moment you let go of the thoughts that seem to control you and place your hope in Him alone.
