Dear reader, when I tell you about hope,
I want you to imagine, the beads of sweat dripping off Hajra (RA)'s skin as she insistently ran seven times in the middle of a desert in search of water for her thirsty baby.
I want you to feel the pain and strength of a father like Prophet Ibraheem (AS), when he looked into his own son's eyes as a sacrifice to Allah.
The grief in a mother's heart as Musa (AS)'s mother laid her newborn baby for the river to drift him away knowing her child's life could be at risk.
Feel the betrayal and hurt in Prophet Yusuf (AS)'s heart as his own flesh and blood tossed him away like garbage into the deep well.
And the black, suffocating darkness inside the belly of a whale where Yunus (AS) wept, alone.
I want you to picture the vast sea with its stormy waves at your feet as Musa (AS) fled from the Pharoah and imagine, how terrified must Asiyah (AS) have been when she resisted her tyrant husband as he tortured her to death.
Hear the screams within, as Bilal (RA)'s bones get crushed with big stones, dragged by his master in the hot burning sand of the desert whilst his mouth uttered Shahada.
And wonder how our beloved Messenger, Muhammad (SAWS) could still continue his path as the people of Taif stoned him filling his shoes with blood after he had been grieving the loss of his wife, Khadijah (RA).
And then maybe when you imagine it all. Feel it all.
You would learn that:
- The thirst didn't win over Hajra and Ismael (AS) and Musa (AS)'s mother was reunited with her child.
- Neither did Yusuf (AS) end up unsuccessful nor Yunus (AS) forgotten.
- Musa (AS) and his followers still crossed the red sea fleeing from the Pharoah and Asiyah (RA) granted a palace in Paradise for her unwavering faith.
- And Muhammad (SAWS)'s mission blooming like never before in the city of Taif.
The key takeaway here is prayer and tawwakul in Allah. What doesn't make sense right now can be cleared in any second. What seems impossible right now can happen in the very next moment. What feels far can come near in the blink of an eye. So, keep your Duaa's sincere and your tawwakul strong, strive your best and the miracles that you want will come true.
