Good Deeds That Guarantee a Home in Paradise.

We humans love to have prized possessions. We spend many years of our lives building our houses, our properties. All of it doesn't come easy, there's a lot of planning, research and financial readiness involved. Even when it's finally yours, it requires constant maintenance and occasional renovation.

Have you ever imagined a sanctuary where you never have to pay any bills nor fix the cracks in the wall or face any unexpected expenses? Where there won't ever be need of any maintenance and the house will remain pristine forever? It's an everlasting haven with peace and comfort. That home is in Paradise (Jannah), our eternal abode.

1. Building a Masjid for Allah

Prophet (SAWS) said, 'Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, Allah (SWT) will build for them a home in Paradise.

Do you see how Allah repays back the favor? You build His home here, a place of worship even though Allah doesn't need you to increase His kingdom while He builds your home there, where on the other hand you have no kingdom of your own. SubhanAllah! Building a whole masjid may seem impossible but even a small part of it can earn you a palace in paradise. That's how merciful our Rabb is 💗

2. Praying 12 Rakah's a day

Prophet (SAWS) said, 'Whoever prays 12 Rakah's for the sake of Allah apart from the obligatory prayers, then Allah will build a home for him in paradise.

These are the sunnah prayers that the Prophet (SAWS) himself was consistent with him keeping in mind it's best to offer them at home.

They are:

2 before Fajr

2 before Dhuhr & 2 after Dhuhr

2 after Maghrib

2 after Isha

Many people leave them out saying they don't have much time to allot, or they can barely even get the obligatory prayer done during their busy schedule. But is a good day at work in this Dunya building an entire home for you? Think about the deed and the reward you'd be getting in return for it, wouldn't that bring you more everlasting joy than just earning your salary for the month?

3. Reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas 10 times a day

This one is super easy yet many of us lose things that can earn us big rewards. The Prophet (SAWS) said, "Whoever recites قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ 10 times a day Allah will build that person a home in Paradise. The reward of this surah is immense, a surah which emphasizes on Kalimatul-Ikhlas, the statement of sincerity. All it takes is a few minutes and you have a home ready, waiting for you in Paradise.

4. Making Duaa before sleep

There are a few duaas we recite before sleeping but this one is specific to attain the reward of having a house in paradise. Prophet (SAWS) said, 'Whoever does wudhu and then goes to sleep on their right side and recites:

اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ. لاَ مَلْجَأَ وَلاَ مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلاَّ إِلَيْكَ. آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ‏.‏ ‏

O Allah! I submit myself to You and entrust my affairs to You and turn my face to You and lay myself down depending upon You in hope and fear of You. There is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book (the Qur'an) that You revealed and, in Your Prophet, (Muhammad ﷺ) whom You have sent.

The key thing to notice here is that you're saying to Allah that there's no refuge from You, Oh Allah but to You. So, Allah (SWT) gives you a shelter in the form of a house in Paradise. What an amazing shelter to have from the storms of this Dunya!

5. Saying Dhikr before entering the marketplace

Now this is not just for going to some shopping place but even logging in to an online shopping site, you never know Allah (SWT) might give you the reward for your pure intentions.

The next half of the deeds are the ones that bring about deep transformation of character through worship. They are Ibadur-Rahman, the servants of the Most Merciful. These are the ones who will have the highest place in Paradise because of how deeply they are connected to Allah (SWT). They can be broken down to these categories:

6. The one who feeds the poor

This allows a person to practice gratitude (Shukr) for the blessings he has been given and share them with the less privileged.

7. The one who fasts consistently

Through fasting, a person exercises patience and the one who fasts a distance of 70 years is placed between him and the hellfire.

8. The one who prays at night while others are sleeping

This allows a person to exercise excellence (Ihsaan) in his worship. This is what gives you the strength and sincerity to continue connecting to Allah.

9. The one who leaves off argument even when they're right , who avoids lying even when joking and the one who strives to excel in exceptional character.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ أَبُو الْجَمَاهِرِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَعْبٍ، أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّعْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ أَنَا زَعِيمٌ بِبَيْتٍ فِي رَبَضِ الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُحِقًّا وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي وَسَطِ الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْكَذِبَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَازِحًا وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي أَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ حَسَّنَ خُلُقَهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Narrated Abu Umamah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.
