He is the One Who created seven heavens, one above the other. You will never see any imperfection in the creation of the Most Compassionate. So look again: do you see any flaws? (Surah Al Mulk, Verse 3)

This verse from the Quran reminds us that the creation above is not only flawless but a canvas that speaks to our hearts, a way of connecting to the One who gave us life.

Have you ever stood under a sky painted in hues of pink and golden, feeling as if time paused to let you marvel at it's beauty?

It's in those very quiet moments of solitude that you realize the sky is more than just a covering above us; it's a mirror of Allah's love.

No matter where we are, we all look to the same sky right? Yet, each one of us witnesses its beauty in it's own unique colors and forms. That sure is mind-blowing, isn't it?Some find their souls energized by the soft pink shade of the sunrise, while others endure the blazing afternoon sun, beads of sweat glistening on their foreheads. For some, the fiery red and orange shades of sunset whisper promises of hope, reminding them that this pain, too, shall pass. Some delight in the gentle raindrops pouring from the heavens or twirl in joy beneath the falling snowflakes, while others dream themselves to sleep, their hearts soothed by the shimmering stars enlightening the sky.

In its endless beauty and mystery, the sky continuously seems to whisper to us: "Remember your Creator, for He is the One who made all of this."

Imagine trying to figure out time without the sky, no sun to mark the beginning of the day, no moon to mark the start of a new month, no stars to help you find your way.

Forget calendars; we'd be planting mangoes in winter, and probably wandering in circles looking for directions!

Imagine sailors in the old days, trying to navigate the seas be like: "Captain, are we heading north?" "No idea, the stars are on a vacation!

That would have certainly been a havoc!

That's why in His infinite wisdom, Allah gave us a celestial clock so precise and reliable that the whole of humanity has relied on it since the beginning of time!

What would our lives be like if the skies didn't reveal the rhythm of day and night, changing seasons, or beginning of a new year?

Every sunrise is our alarm clock for the next day, the moon changing it's forms to say another month is passing by, and the stars point the way towards direction, and reflection upon the One who created them all.

As Allah says in the Quran: 'Have they not then looked at the sky above them: how We built it and adorned it ˹with stars˺, leaving it flawless?' (Surah Qaf, Verse 6)

Without these tiny dots of lights, the heavens would lose their whispers of promises that something eternal beyond this universe lies hidden for us.

The nights would lack their comforting glow, and humanity would be deprived of the light they tend to seek in the darkness.

The sky often seems to speak a language of its own, one that transcends words and touches the soul. It's as though Allah wants us to lift our gaze and hearts upward, to wonder at His artistry, and to feel His presence in every ray of light that shines.

The changing colors of the sky within and the angle of the sun modifying alongside also mark the times for our five daily prayers, aligning our worship with the natural rhythm of creation.

The wisdom behind the creation of the sky is mentioned in the Quran by Allah Himself as He says, And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away. (Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 32)

The sky was designed to be a protective shield for life on earth. Not only does it serve as a source of light and direction, but the atmosphere above saves us from harmful solar radiation, prevents poisonous gases from intoxicating the environment, protects us from the high energetic photons and as far as burning up meteoroids before they hit the ground.

What's fascinating is that the science discovered this many years later when Allah had already revealed it's purpose of creation in the Quran.

Moreover, the sky is also a source of continuous mercy from Allah in the form of nourishing rain, as the naturally designed water cycle forms clouds through evaporated water which soon turns into tiny droplets of water to sustain life.

Allah mentions in the Quran, And We send down blessed rain from the sky, bringing forth gardens and grains for harvest. (Surah Qaf, Verse 9)

Do you now realize what important roles the sky plays in our day to day lives?

It's not something we live under, but something we need to live with in order to survive on this planet.

It's not just a mere attraction laid out for us to amaze our sights with but a heartfelt letter from our Lord, where each cloud is a word, every sunrise a message, every sunset a warm hug, and every star a profound reminder of His infinite presence and vast control over everything.

The sky's beauty is not just in its appearance but in its ability to stir the hearts. It reminds us of how small our existence is as humans, yet how significant we are in the eyes of the One who shaped it.

So, the next time you look up, remember that the sky isn't just a mere view it's a masterpiece, a canvas of hope and a reflection of Allah's infinite mercy for you. With each passing hour, be grateful to Allah for bringing you into existence, for allowing you to witness the beauty of this world. May it inspire your heart to live with purpose, reflect on His signs and value the time He has blessed you with.

Let those heavens above remind you : 'You are part of something vast, something magnificent, something truly beautiful and something deeply connected to the Creator.'
