"Where does generosity live, they ask."
I find it in every second that the heart beats, before you can even count. In every breath you take, effortlessly.
In every moment you're loved, even when you forget the One who loves you most.
That's exactly what pulled me into writing these series of reflections on the 99 names of Allah! To learn about the love we often forget even though He never forgets us.
Each name is a doorway to deepen our connection with our Rabb, and a step toward understanding the One who already knows us completely.
This isn't going to be just any series though. It's a continuous journey of falling in love with our Creator, of getting to truly discover Him through every attribute He chose to reveal to us.
Today, we'll be reflecting on Ar-Rahman - the Most Merciful. A name that speaks of a mercy so vast that it covers entire humanity.

Have you ever noticed how those who don't believe in Allah enjoy the same blessings as we do? They eat well, live comfortably, get married, have children, and experience the joys of this world, just like anyone else.
It's a question that often arises when we reflect on, "why does Allah give so freely even to those who reject Him as their Creator?"
The answer lies within His name - Ar-Rahman.
Growing up I always thought that mercy had to be earned. But this name opened my eyes to a perspective no human being could ever match. It made me realize, deep within, just how boundless our Creator's mercy truly is. His mercy isn't dependent on our actions or beliefs.
If you see....
Allah wouldn't take away the food from your mouth if you do not take His name before eating. He wouldn't prevent a sip of water from quenching your thirst just because you have never tasted the sweetness of fasting. He wouldn't paralyse your limbs the very instance you use them to commit a sin, though He sees it all. He wouldn't withhold the air you breathe, even if you've never once bowed your head down in prayer expressing gratitude. And He brings love into your life , through a parent, spouse or a stranger even when you haven't looked for it in Him.
Whether you believe it or not, He gives and gives.
Not for who we are, but for Who He is.
This piece is part of a book I'm currently working on, exploring each of the blessed Names of Allah (SWT) one at a time. A collection of deep thoughts straight from the heart, written in the hope that they may enlighten yours too and broaden your understanding of who our Creator truly is.
